Perhaps McConaughey’s bachelor days are over after announcing his “gift from God” and joy surrounding girlfriend’s pregnancy

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 1/16/08 – Once dubbed the sexiest man alive, the ever hot Matthew McConaughey announced via his web site Tuesday that he and Brazilian model girlfriend Camila Alves “made a baby together” and that she is three-months along. And it looks like the couple’s baby is due around early summer 2008.

“Got some blessed news…a celebration of life and bounty…a newborn conceived,” said McConaughey. “It’s 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far…we are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God.”

The statement goes on to say that the couple is ecstatic about the exciting news and look forward to the adventure into parenthood. The Texan who was People’s 2005 sexiest man alive says he’s now the happiest man alive.

“From moms and dads, to family, to community, it takes the best will and support from everyone to raise the healthiest children we have in society…wish us the best, keep us in your prayers, and God bless evolution,” said McConaughey.

McConaughey (“The Wedding Planner,” “Sahara”) is going to have a busy time, what with a newborn on the way. He’s currently training for his next project, a comedy called “The Grackle,” where he plays a bar-fighter for hire. He also plays against Kate Hudson in “Fool’s Gold,” with Jennifer Garner in “The Ghost of Girlfriends Past,” as the lead in “Surfer Dude” and in Ben Stiller’s all-star “Tropic Thunder.”
