The Dreamgirls star has a new wife… and no, it’s not Spice girl Mel B.

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 1/2/08 – Oscar-nominated actor Eddie Murphy rung in the new year by marrying his girlfriend Tracey Edmonds in a private ceremony near Bora Bora on Tuesday.

According to a report by People magazine, only 25 people were in attendance at the ceremony, which took place on a remote French Polynesian island.

This is the second marriage for both Murphy and film producer Edmonds, who has two sons with her previous husband, R&B superstar Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.

Murphy divorced his wife Nicole in 2006 after 13 years together. The couple has five children. In 2007, Spice girl and “Dancing with the Stars” finalist Melanie Brown revealed that her daughter was Murphy’s as well. Four months later, DNA tests confirmed that the 46-year-old funnyman was in fact the father. Brown married her current husband, producer Stephen Belafonte, shortly after.
