HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 12/30/07 – Apparently mothers will lie, cheat and teach their kids to do the same to win a few tickets to a Hannah Montana concert, leaving the rest of the country to wonder, what’s the world coming to? Priscilla Ceballos admitted that she’d lied in an essay, supposedly from her six-year old daughter claiming, “My daddy died this year in Iraq.”

“We did the essay and that’s what we did to win. We did whatever we could do to win,” Ceballos said in an interview yesterday with KDFW-TV in Dallas, Texas. “But when she (Caulfield) asked me if this essay is true, I said ‘No, this essay is not true.’”

Ceballos, of Garland, TX, had made up an elaborate lie on behalf of her daughter, recounting how her daughter’s father had died in a roadside bombing in Iraq last April 17, said Libby Lu spokeswoman Robyn Caulfield.

A chain store called Club Libby Lu and the contest’s sponsor, withdrew the prize Saturday, immediately awarding it to another contestant.

The grand prize included airfare for four to Albany, N.Y. and four tickets to the notoriously sold-old Hannah Montana concert on January 9, 2008. The package also included a makeover for the little girl and a blonde Hannah Montana wig like Miley Cyrus wears on the hit Disney sitcom.

“With this decision, we hope to revive the intended spirit of the contest, which was designed to make a little girl’s holidays extra special,” said Club Libby Lu chief executive Mary Drolet in a statement Saturday.
