HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 12/27/07 – Actress Jessica Alba 26, and producer Cash Warren 28, must have been shocked as news of their secret engagement slipped through the lips of one of their friends and past co-stars inadvertently at the Jules Verne Adventure Film Fest last weekend (see related articles).

When asked about Alba’s impending pregnancy, Doug Jones (“Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”) responded, “Jessica and her fiancé are wonderful, and they’re going to make the most beautiful babies ever.”

At first, their reps denied the news, but once the cat is out of the bag, it’s over. Plus, Alba was spotted wearing an eternity band on her left ring finger last week.

“I can confirm that they are engaged,” said Alba’s publicist Brad Cafarelli. The couple are keeping mum about the details of the nuptials, but are definitely headed toward wedded bliss.

Other than the secret slip-up, they must be one happy couple and have a lot to celebrate this New Year’s and their lives are likely to be filled with lots of joy and excitement in the coming year.

The baby is due for release in Summer 2008, along with Alba’s comedy film “The Love Guru,” co-starring the hilarious Mike Meyers.

The 26-year-old Alba most recently appeared with Dane Cook in “Good Luck Chuck” and alongside Hayden Christensen in the anesthesia reality horror-thriller “Awake.” She also appeared in “The Ten.”

Alba shot to fame after a stint as an action hero on TV’s “Dark Angel.” She reinforced her superhero capacity after starring in the films “Fantastic Four” and “Sin City.”

The two hotties have been together since heating up the set of “Fantastic Four” back in 2004, where Warren worked as a director’s assistant.
