Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie’s big diamond sparkler From Josh

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 12/27/07 – Black Eyed Peas singer and solo artist Fergie and Hollywood hunk Josh Duhamel became engaged this month after three years of getting to know each other as boyfriend and girlfriend. Fergie was spotted wearing a beautiful diamond sparkler back in November at the American Music Awards, but her rep denied they were engaged at the time.
Apparently, the engagement didn’t happen on Christmas, but it’s a great Christmas story to tell any future little peas they may have. Getting engaged is just as exciting for beautiful rock girls alike, whether famous or not. After all, a girl’s a girl, and most girls have dreams of love and marriage to go with their fame and fortune.
“Fergie called a lot of her girlfriends today (Dec. 26) to tell them the news,” a source told People. “She said they don’t know what kind of wedding they want yet, but that she is the happiest girl on earth.”
The couple celebrated the “Las Vegas” star’s 35th birthday together last month as Duhamel and Fergie, a.k.a. Stacy Ferguson, reveled in their love. Her solo album “The Dutchess,” has spawned hits such as “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Glamorous,” “London Bridge” and “Fergilicious.”
The California girl began her career in 1983 as the voice of Sally Brown in the children’s cartoon series “Charlie Brown.” Shortly afterwards, at the age of eight, she made her first appearance on the variety television program “Kids Incorporated” and went on to do more than 100 episodes.
No date has been set yet for the wedding.
