HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 11/30/07 – The Hollywood Reporter unveiled its list of the best paid film actresses for 2007 on Friday. “Legally Blonde” Reese Witherspoon came at number one, averaging a payday upwards of $15 to $20 million per project.
Although her latest release, “Rendition,” opened to poor box office numbers, Witherspoon bested “Beowulf” actress Angelina Jolie, who commands a comparable salary.
Coming in third was Cameron Diaz at an asking price of $15 million per feature. Fourth through seventh place went to Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, Sandra Bullock, and Julia Roberts who each get $10-$15 million for a film.
Kidman and Roberts respectively wait for their recent productions, “The Golden Compass” and “Charlie Wilson’s War,” to hit theaters this December. Meanwhile, Zellweger was last heard voicing a character for the animated family comedy, “Bee Movie.”
The full list of powerhouse actresses makes its way to newsstands on Tuesday in the Hollywood Reporter’s new issue, “Women in Entertainment: Power 100.”
