HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 9/16/07 — The stars are aligned on the red carpet for the “59th Annual Emmy Awards” tonight in Los Angeles, Calif. As fabrics and accessories sashayed pass by cameras, an overall simplistic, colorful, sparkle-flow with bed-head like hair owns the night.

“Heroes” star, Hayden Panettiere, glowed in a flow-y, champagne-colored gown made by Mark Bower. When asked by tonight’s host, Ryan Seacrest, what the newly 18-year-old would be doing tonight, she says, “I’ll be hanging out with my cast. I’m so excited to have them here.”

Another “Heroes” star looked just as radiant. Ali Larter was dressed by Reem Acra in a slinky, silky rouge dress. She was a bit surprised when E! News played a clip from her first movie, “Varsity Blues,” where she only wore a whipped cream bikini. “How could you do this to me!” was all the “Heroes” star could say to Seacrest jokingly.

“Ugly Betty” favorite, America Ferrara, stood out from the crowd in a royal blue gown with a black metallic belt. Ferrara hopes to win tonight for “Best Actress” but has a bevy of vets to beat. Nonetheless, she says, “I have thought about a list of people that I just don’t want to forget.”

Black seems to be another favorite among the stars. Kyra Sedgwick wears a very interesting, beaded black ensemble created by Oscar De La Renta. “30 Rock” star, Tina Fey, wears a low neck-line emphasized by a black, sparkled trim. Elmo congratulated her on her nomination in which she jokingly responded, “I have worked with Elmo…Elmo has taught me everything I know about acting.”

“The Soprano’s” Edie Falco emphasized her black dress with white-sparkled specs. She, along with the rest of the cast, will be honored at tonight’s event. She says, “During our rehearsal I felt remarkably moved. I’m very attached to these people.” Jennifer Love-Hewitt donned a Reem Acra simple black gown with a gleaming diamond necklace.

“Desperate Housewives” Eva Longoria looks radiant in a silver-champagne leggy gown accentuated by gold-like sequins. Her favorite accessory was her tiny bag where she explains, “It fits my blackberry!” She wished Seacrest the best, but told him, “Don’t screw up!”

Far from the silver theme, Kate Walsh from “Grey’s Anatomy” wore a very red dress, made by Pamela Dennis, with its biggest feature being the very low neck-line. Another housewife, Felicity Huffman, was decked out in another red, low neck-line revealing dress as well. When asked about the awards show, Huffman says, “I think they are all different. They are all exciting. It’s an honor. And they’re nerve-wracking!”

“Ugly Betty’s” Becki Newton dazzles in a one-shoulder strap silver gown accented by silver sequins that gave off a very mermaid-esque look. She had no problem exclaiming, “I’ve always loved Ryan Seacrest!” which made tonight’s host blush a bit. Another silver showstopper is Jennifer Morrison from the hit show “House.”

Nerve-wracking may be the perfect word for the “Emmys.” “The Office” star Rainn Wilson, was humiliated on camera by Seacrest, when he showed pictures of Wilson as a teen. When asked about winning, he says, “Win or lose…I’m bringing it.”

Jon Stewart, who is set to host the next “Academy Awards,” poked fun at Seacrest for hosting the show by saying, “You’re really just going to go down!”
