Jive confirms that Spears will not appear at the Emmys this weekend

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 9/15/07 – Apologies are what everyone seems to want from Britney Spears. When she sleep-walked through her comeback number donned in a barely-there black metallic bikini at MTV’s “Video Music Awards,” the pop star drew harsh reviews calling the performance a train wreck.
As rumors surfaced that she was supposed to apologize at this Sunday’s “59th Annual Emmy Awards” for her zombie-like appearance at the “VMA’s,” media outlets report that a Jive record spokesperson stated, “Britney Spears has no plans to appear on the Emmys this Sunday.”
Sundays seem to be a bad choice for Spears. From last weekend’s disaster to this weekend’s awards, it would have been an unfit move to declare her apology. After Kanye West’s disapproval of Spears opening up the “VMA’s” instead of himself, imagine how America Ferrara or the cast of “Entourage” may have felt.
So as the world waits for Spears’ next disastrous move, it will have to wait until after this weekend. The last thing she would want to do is steal “The Soprano’s” thunder.
