Two-month global Spice reunion tour to have more nannies than roadies
By Jeffrey Jolson

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 8/10/07 — The Spice Girl reunion tour will be a traveling nursery as the group’s baby boom grew to eight kids. “Baby Spice” Emma Bunton lived up to her name by giving birth to a boy called Beau.
Notwithstanding the poundings he’s likely to get in grade school over his name (Beau is French for beautiful), he is a healthy 7 pounds 15 ounces upon delivery at the Portland Hospital in London. That is the same place bandmate Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham gave birth to two of her three sons, Brooklyn and Romeo.
Romeo might have to defend Beau in school, being experienced as the brunt of playground name-calling, at least until Brooklyn steps in and clears things up with the best DeNiro attitude he can muster. Of course Beau can Americanize his name to Bo, a fine moniker for a coach or linebacker who no one messes with.
Yet Beau’s father, Jade, must know all about the name game.
That makes eight kids, many of them infants, in the Spice Girls mix, as they prepare for a reunion tour that stars in Canada in December. Dressing rooms and stage right will look like nurseries. Plus burping will have to be removed from recordings while teething rings and baby oil will be mandatory backstage on contract riders with concert promoters. Of course, the contract riders for Van Halen have had those items listed for decades.
The Spice Girls, one of the most successful acts in pop music history, reform to play 11 dates on six continents in December 2007 and January 2008.

“Posh Spice” Beckham has three boys to her footballer husband David; “Ginger Spice” Geri Haliwell has a 14-month-old girl Bluebell Madonna; while “Scary Spice” Melanie Brown has two daughters – infant Angel Iris and Phoenix Chi.
Her youngest daughter Angel Iris’s father is the Hollywood actor and comedian Eddie Murphy.
All members of the five-piece group except “Sporty Spice” Melanie Chisholm are now mothers. Perhaps Bodog online betting will take wagers on what name she shackles her first son with.
