Silver Surfer Rules. Always has, always will.

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 6/17/07 — The darkest comic book hero ever, Stan Lee’s Silver Surfer, ignited the box office this weekend with $57.4 million.
The lonely surfer who must act as the herald of Armageddon connected with audiences as “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” outperformed its “Fantastic Four” predecessor and easily swam over “Oceans Thirteen,” which banked $19.1 million over its second weekend.
Other big hits of the weekend were Pirates 3, which is rapidly closing in on a $300 million domestic gross with a $12 million booty. The surprise of the weekend may be that Universal Pictures’ comedy “Knocked Up” remained a strong No. 3 in its third week.
