Paris rehires same publicist she fired days ago

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 5/8/07 – Maybe impending prison time has softened Paris Hilton or maybe the publicist hunt wasn’t as easy as she expected, because today the hounded heiress has officially made nice with PR man Elliot Mintz.
Sunday Mintz released a statement saying he no longer represented the “Simple Life” star, but the separation lasted only a short time because Tuesday morning he told Reuters, “I represent Paris and I’m proud to.”
The two apparently spent the previous evening discussing their relationship , culminating in Hilton mending ties with 62-year-old Mintz, who has also represented the likes of John Lennon and Bob Dylan. While Mintz didn’t elaborate on what brought on the change of heart, he said, “”Whatever there was is no more. I don’t choose to revisit that which is divisive. I’m only interested in that which is healing.”
In court, Hilton told the judge her publicist had told her it was okay to drive with her suspended license, and Mintz even testified in behalf of the socialite. The judge called the testimony worthless, and thereafter sentenced Hilton to 45 days in jail.
Unless the appeals pull though, Hilton will be reporting to L.A.‘s Century Regional Detention Facility by June 5. About his client’s predicament, Mintz said, “She’s taking all of this with great seriousness.”
