HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 5/7/07 — Some internet sites have been buzzing that Paris Hilton has hired celeb publicist Michael Levine to replace her ousted PR man Elliot Mintz. Though Levine is certainly no stranger to loopy clients, having handled Barbra Streisand and Michael Jackson, when contacted he noted there were clearly things even he would not do.

‘Nowadays, I’ve got better things to do than babysit an obviously self-destructive girl,” he told Hollywood Today.

Mintz was fired even after apparently taking a bullet for her, or trying to. He testified in Hilton’s case that he was to blame for her driving on a suspended license as he misinformed her it was okay to do so.

The hotel heiress lawyer has filed a motion in Los Angeles to appeal her 45-day jail sentence, it was reported today, though many attorneys believe it’s unlikely to succeed. See Attorneys on Paris appeal Chances .

The celebrity socialite was handed a 45-day stay in prison after a dramatic Los Angeles court hearing on Friday where she was found to have violated her parole for drink-driving by twice taking to the wheel while banned.
