HOLLYWOOD, CA 3/14/07 — British girl group the Spice Girls are in mothering mode and won’t be touring any time soon despite reports here and around the world that they would reunite for a brief tour.

Management/production company 19 Entertainment said Wednesday that there are no plans at the current time for the Spice Girls to reunite despite the enthusiasm, pointing out “Emma and Mel B are about to have babies, Geri is a new Mum and Victoria is moving to LA where she will be concentrating on her fashion projects and family.”

For those who didn’t follow the group during their wildly successful 1990s heyday, that refers to Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham. Brown, who just had a baby shower in Los Angeles, claims actor Eddie Murphy is the father and tests are being arranged to confirm or deny that. Beckham is moving to LA with soccer star husband David and their three children. No mention was made by 19 Entertainment of Melanie Chisolm’s participation in the rumored reunion.
