Hell to Freeze Over in Five Years

February 8th, 2007 · No Comments

Hollywood, CA (Hollywood Hotwire) 2/8/07 — The spinning sound you hear is Arthur Hays Sulzberger in his grave: New York Times publisher Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr. says the world’s leading newspaper may not even be in print come 2012 and furthermore, he doesn’t give a hoot as long as the internet grows. “I really don’t know whether we’ll be printing the Times in five years, and you know what? I don’t care either,” he told an Israeli newspaper. That doesn’t mean all the news that is no longer fit to print will go unpublished. He says his goal is to manage the transition from print to internet. Hollywood Today, for one, welcomes the competition.
